Admission to Andover is competitive. We’re not looking for the ‘best’ students; we’re looking for students who are a good fit Andover’s mission. We encourage interested students to attend one of our seminars to learn about Andover’s unique
approach to education.
Once you have decided that Andover is right for you, complete our online application (PDF version is here, if you prefer).
The start and end dates of each semester is up to you. Every course and overall program of study is tailor to each student, so you may start and stop according to the schedule you and the dean have cooperatively developed.
Tuition for the full year for a full-time student is $21,000 and covers 7-11 academic one-on-one course per year, SAT/ACT prep classes in the junior and senior years, and college guidance all years, inclusive of all books, technology (tablet PC) and general lab fees but exclusive of extra-curricular and extraordinary fees. Tuition does not cover activities or classes taken outside of Andover (e.g. athletic & art classes).
Need-based financial aid for full-time students is available. State on your application that you require financial aid, and we’ll send you the link to the financial aid application once we receive and review your admission application.
Individual courses may be taken for credit; tuition is $2295. Individual course tuition includes text books and lab fees but does not include test preparation courses, college admissions consulting, technology (tablet PC), extra-curricular and extraordinary fees. Students taking courses individually are required to have a tablet PC (or other suitable e-reader) or may lease one from Andover at $175/semester. Summer students may take up to four individual courses at a time; fall and spring students may take up to two individual courses at a time.
All courses are 15-19 meetings, about 1 hour per meeting. All course pacing will be customized to the student and may vary by subject, as determined by the teacher and dean. Students who do not demonstrate mastery may be required to attend additional meetings (beyond 19), for which the tuition is $100 per meeting.
